Thank you to everyone who came to see and hear the Dramatic Brass<\/a> concert last Friday. The concert also doubled as the CD release of Capital BrassWorks’ fourth recording, Brass Britannia!<\/a><\/p>\n

This concert was the first to be held at Parkdale United Church<\/a> in Ottawa. The venue provided a larger stage and the opportunity for the group to experiment with different placements. For instance, Karen Donnelly<\/a> performed her solo from The Bluebird<\/em> (also featured on the new CD) while standing behind the audience which gave her parts the impression of being off in the distance, much like a singing bird which you can hear but cannot see.<\/p>\n
