Jill, a native of Montreal, has played horn professionally since the tender age of 18. At 17, she won the "Prix de Foundation des Amis des Arts" at the Montreal Symphony Young People's Competition for the most promising young wind player.

While in Montreal, she performed with the Grand Ballets Orchestra, C.B.C. Orchestra, Orchestre Metropolitain, I Musici de Montréal, McGill Chamber Orchestra, and L'Opera de Montréal. She worked extensively with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra as an extra musician from 1971-1994, participating in many concerts, tours and recordings.

In 1986 Jill was appointed to the position of "Third French Horn" of the National Arts Centre Orchestra; a position she continues to hold today.

She is also Principal Horn of the Ottawa Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Rideau Lakes Brass Quintet (Ottawa Brass), the Capital BrassWorks, and the Ayorama Woodwind Quintet, and is a regular performer at the Ottawa Chamber Music Festival.
